The Week of March 12th- Instagramed!

Record high temps hit Iowa this week and we took advantage! Admittedly, our winter was quite mild, but this week really felt like we came out of some sort of hibernation. We spent two afternoons with Nikki, one chatting in her back yard and making our way to a near by park where we were also able to spend time with Alicia and Eleanor. Our second afternoon with Nikki was spent thrifting around Iowa City. Thrift store shopping is one of my favorite pastimes and I haven't gotten out there since our move back to Iowa. We hit up Kid Works, House Works, Crowded Closet, and Artifacts . It was a nice run but all I came home with was a really sweet little sweater and a yellow gingham sun hat for Bernie. Tony had Wednesday off and we spent some more time at the park and walked to Hynes Ice Cream where we both ordered our standbys, me one scoop on mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone and Tony a S'mores shake. On Thursday we drove up to Chicago together and I left Tony there for a bachelor weekend with his friends and drove back to Iowa City to take on full time mom duty. On Friday Bernie met my good friend Liz who is visiting from San Francisco. We spent the whole afternoon together, sitting on patios sipping sparkling water and popping in and out of some of my favorite shops in Iowa City. Although there is no photo documentation of it, Tony got my bike going this week and put on new tires and a new seat. I took two 9 mile solo bike rides and it was GLORIOUS!

Beautiful Nikki with little Zorro!
Stunning Mama Alicia with her equally as stunning baby girl.
Birthday buds: meeting #3!
Bernie's first time in a baby swing was either extremely boring or very soothing.
Check out those toes.
Bernie and Daddy!
I like this one :)

Don't worry, we still spent a good amount of time simply relaxing and looking cute!

And last but not least, Bernie LOVED Liz! She spent a good part of the afternoon happily in her arms.
What a great week!
