Kay, Carol, and Lori came to Chicago by train for an afternoon visit. It was so nice to them outside of our short Christmas celebration. We walked all the way to Lou Malnati's (2 whole miles) only to find out that they were closed. Our dreams of a delicious Chicago style pizza were crushed, but Kay did spot that little DJ graffiti on the side of a building. She told me that I was very good at finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, but the DJ was all Kay.

We had to stop at Millennium Park to check out the giant bean, then a little shopping on State Street. We walked by the hotel I work at and snapped a picture of me in front of the building.

We made our way across the river and stopped to grab a soda before everyone had to head back to Union Station. Minus the pizza debacle, it was an awesome afternoon.
